Program 01
Summer Work & Travel (J-1 SWT)
The Summer Work & Travel program (J-1 SWT) is a U.S. Department of State–designated cultural exchange program that allows full-time university students from Mongolia to work in the United States during their summer break, typically from May through September.
Participants legally work at U.S. employers (resorts, hotels, amusement parks, retail), earn wages, and have the opportunity to travel before returning home.
Eligibility
✓ Full-time enrolled university student
✓ Minimum conversational English
✓ Age 18–25
✓ Intent to return to Mongolia
Program 02
High School Exchange (J-1)
The J-1 High School Exchange program allows Mongolian secondary school students to study for a full academic year at an American high school, live with a carefully screened U.S. host family, and experience American culture firsthand.
Sun Education is an official recruitment partner of SHARE! High School Exchange Programs (ERDT), based in Santa Monica, California. For the 2026–2027 academic year, we have access to up to 20 student placements.
